If you’re wondering why I called this post a good children’s multivitamin supplement, it’s because I never had to find or test any other. Maybe I can’t call it the best vitamin supplement for kids but it has done nothing but good for my kids ever since I found out about Floradix Kinder Love through the advice of friends and family.
This winter I decided to write this review post because my kids are sick now (both with viral diseases) and this winter was the first one in 4 years that we didn’t use Floradix. During the previous three my kids fared pretty damn well health wise when compared to other kids I know. If you don’t wanna hear about my personal story and wanna jump straight to the useful information just skip the next 2 paragraphs ;).
Why Floradix is very good – my story
Last winter, like the previous few, my kids were taking the Floradix multivitamin supplement regularly and what happened was that my wife and I got sick and it lasted for around two months. The kids only had running noses and a slight cough during this period, their immune system was simply amazing!
On the other hand my wife and I had to go through 4 therapies of antibiotics (combined), had problems with our sinuses, throats, ears and lungs – but who cares that we barely made it to spring :D.
This winter, we fell short, we didn’t pack up on neither floradix nor any probiotics… and it’s starting to show unfortunately.
What is the Floradix multivitamin tonic and what are the ingredients
The Floradix multivitamin tonics are supplements designed to help boost kids immune systems. They come in two packages, 8.5 ounces (250ml) and 17 ounces (500ml), so please try the smaller one first too see if your kids will like it.
The best thing about the Floradix Kinder Love multivitamin supplement (other than the taste and affordable price 🙂 ) are the ingredients. It is certified Kosher, GMO-free (Yes, as a natural drug manufacturer, Salus takes a clear position against the use of genetic engineering in agriculture and does not use raw materials from these sources.
The Floradix manufacturer Salus has a couple of products out there. Depending on the specific tonic you choose it can be:
- Lactose-free
- Vegetarian
- Gluten-free
- Yeast-free
- Dairy-free
The multivitamin supplement is made from herbal extracts and contains:
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B6
- Vitamin B2
- Calcium
Neither one contains preservatives, color additives, or artificial flavorings!
Tips for giving supplements to your kids:
Because of all of the natural ingredients you need to refrigerate it – the tonics can ferment because of the fruit and vegetable base. If it starts to taste like a fizzy carbonated drink, it means it is no longer good. You have about four weeks of use after you first open the bottle.
My kids had no problems with the taste, they loved it. People mix it with juices if their kid doesn’t like the taste but I avoid juices all together so I wouldn’t advise it. The manufacturer of the supplement however says that it can freely be mixed with other juices.
Use shot glasses! I’m not kidding, and I’m sorry if you find this bothering but kids love shot glasses (then again, who doesn’t 😉 ) and for that reason alone it will be a hell of a lot easier – fun makes stuff easier! My kids know that every day after dinner they will get a shot each :). You will get a measuring cup in the package which can also be used for drinking the tonic, but again, shots are way more fun!
Oh yeah, there’s also a Floradix iron supplement tonic out there which is good if you’re anemic and is safe to use during pregnancy.
